Pet Guides

In addition to the general species information in the reptile directory, we also offer several detailed pet guides on popular reptile pets. Not all of these are suitable for the beginner, but reading the guides may help you decide what type of pet is right for you.

Pet Guides:

Green Iguana	The most common of all reptile pets, but caring for an Iguana is more involved than most people realize.
Green Anole	This small lizard is a good pet for those beginning with reptiles
Savannah Monitor	This monitor lizard grows to three feet in length, and has some special care requirements.
Sulcata Tortoise	This beautiful tortoise is one of the largest. Best suited for those who can keep it in an outdoor pen.
Jungle Carpet Python	The jungle carpet python is an attractive, medium sized snake that can make a good pet if cared for properly.
Ball Python	One of the smaller pythons, this snake is often chosen as a pet because of it's gentle behaviour, and attractive coloring.
