About Pet Reptiles

PetReptiles.com is a free online service, providing basic care infomration about a variety of reptiles. We specifically focus on those types of reptile that are commonly kept as pets. We include snakes, lizards, turtles and tortoises. We have detailed owner's guides on the popular pets, such as the Ball Python and the Green Iguana.

Visit our reptile directory to see the current list of reptiles in our database. Check often, as we are adding to it on a regular basis. This is an interactive database, you can add your own notes or comments about each species. We describe each reptile, recommend a suitable habitat, temperature range, and appropriate food. Included are pictures where available, and links to sites with more detailed information.

If you already own a pet reptile, add it's biography to our member's pet reptiles pages. You can also see what other people are doing to care for their animals. All types of reptiles and amphibians can be included. For each, there is a description of the animal, it's habitat, feeding and health care.

For answers to questions, visit the reptile discussion forum. Here you can ask questions, or discuss various aspects of reptile care.

Our reptile resources section is expanding; here we keep a list of various other sites that offer more detailed information about reptiles. We also include links to various vendors of products for reptiles, and reptile breeders.

The Pet Reptile Articles section provides several articles about various aspects of reptile care. We discuss deciding if a reptile is right for you, choosing a pet store, and a variety of other topics.
